Cáscara concentrate for the beverage industry · processed at origin
The whole
coffee cherry.
None of it waste.
Every coffee harvest leaves around 40 % of the fruit as husk — the cáscara. We turn it into a standardized, EU-ready beverage ingredient with natural caffeine.
One raw material, cleanly separated
Broken into its parts.
Skin, pulp, parchment, bean. We process this so-far unused by-product under controlled conditions at origin — and supply the beverage industry with a liquid concentrate of constant, lab-verified quality.
Processing at origin · Peru
Dried where the
harvest happens.
Fresh cáscara is moist and perishable. We dry it under controlled conditions right in the growing region — gently, hygienically and evenly. A residual stream becomes a storable, traceable raw material of constant quality.
- Mobile drying — travels with the harvest windows and runs three to four times longer per year than fixed plants.
- Rice-husk energy — a regional residue cuts energy costs by around 90 % versus electricity.
- Homogeneous quality — controlled drying yields a constant, lab-verified basis for extraction.
The product · Standardized concentrate
Ready for
your recipe.
A liquid, standardized concentrate as a B2B ingredient — built for easy integration into existing development and production processes, with consistent quality from pilot batch to full production.
- Constant specification — reproducible, lab-verified quality across every batch.
- Easy to process — clearly dosable, sensorially compatible, declarable under EU law; we support you with the classification.
- For the beverage industry — sodas, functional drinks, iced teas and sugar-reduced soft drinks.
Natural functional ingredient
Natural caffeine
for your label.
Cáscara naturally contains caffeine — from the fruit, not the lab. A credible basis for clean-label and functional products, clearly set apart from synthetic energy ingredients.
- Natural caffeine source — plant-based, declarable instead of synthetically added.
- Clean label — few, transparent ingredients; polyphenols and fibre by nature.
- Differentiation — a distinct, still-unclaimed category for your range.
Applications · For your range
One ingredient,
many products.
One concentrate as the basis for entire product lines — sodas, iced teas, energy alternatives, sugar-reduced soft drinks and alcohol-free aperitifs, neat or blended.
- Broad range of uses — from functional drinks to near-water, as base or accent.
- Scalable — the same specification across every batch, from recipe development to full production.
- A story for your brand — natural origin and upcycling as a credible point of difference.
Supply chain & compliance
EU-ready from the start.

Novel Food
Cáscara has been listed in the EU Novel Food Union list since 2022 (Regulation (EU) 2022/47). We work with you to clarify how your application is covered.

Your edge
Why Casca Minga.
The EU market for cáscara is open and still young. Whoever starts now with a reliable, EU-ready supply chain helps shape the category.
Processing at origin
We start right in Peru — securing a stable specification and competitive terms without intermediate import.
Early in a young category
Cáscara is still barely established as a beverage ingredient in the DACH region — you position yourself early, with a scalable concentrate instead of dried raw material.
Secure supply
Mobile drying across several harvest windows and a broad supplier base secure the volume you need.
Team & company
Who's behind it.
The founding team covers both sides of the value chain — product development and regulatory affairs in Germany, build-up and production at origin.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
How do I get a sample?
Free of charge via the contact form. You receive a sample together with the full, batch-specific specification.
What's the minimum volume to work together?
From pilot volume and project-based — the specification stays the same across every batch, from recipe development to full production.
Is cáscara approved as a food in the EU?
Yes — cáscara has been listed in the EU Union list of novel foods since 2022 (Regulation (EU) 2022/47), with defined conditions of use. We work with you to clarify how your specific application is covered, and we support you with declaration and labelling.
Which formats do you deliver in?
Samples in the 1-litre bottle; for production in canisters or IBC — as agreed.
How long does the concentrate keep?
24 months unopened, stored cool and protected from light.
Is the product organic?
The raw material comes from certified-organic coffee farms; organic certification of the product itself is in preparation. The supply chain meets the EUDR due-diligence requirements and is traceable down to the individual farm.
What is cascara?
Cascara (Spanish cáscara, "husk") is the dried husk of the coffee cherry — also known as coffee cherry tea. It arises as a side stream of coffee farming, tastes fruity and tart, and naturally contains caffeine. We process cascara at origin into a standardised liquid concentrate.
Where can you buy cascara or cascara concentrate?
We supply beverage manufacturers directly: cascara as a standardised B2B concentrate from our processing at origin in Peru — from free samples to pilot volumes and full production. Simply get in touch via the contact form.
How does the concentrate become a cascara drink?
The concentrate is simply dosed into water or your recipe — as the base for cascara lemonades, iced teas, functional drinks or non-alcoholic aperitifs. It is easy to dose, integrates into existing production processes, and we support you during recipe development.
